CIS212 Coursework information

You are expected to try out all the examples given in the program listing notes, to make sure they work for you. That means typing them in and running them. You are also expected to find a book you like (eg: B. Eckel, Thinking in Java) and work through all the appropriate examples and exercises. Occasionally I will set other exercises based on the lectures, but finally its up to you. The drop-in lab session (Tuesdays 9-10 am), is intended for anybody who needs help with some aspect of the course, and, of course, for people who dont have a PC at home with Java. Im expecting you to spend 3 or 4 hours a week working on this course in your own time.
