With the first being born in 1929, there have been at least 48 babies delivered on a plane. Above six continents, as high up as seven miles and on 36 airlines, mothers have been giving birth to babies without medical facilities, often relying on shoelaces and microwaves to replace key instruments. Of all the airlines British Airways has experienced the most births. There have been five BA babies since 1990.
